Barney the Voki

This is my attempt at creating a voki! My boys helped me to do it and they had a lot of fun so I can imagine the creativity that can be applied to this tool. As I was doing it I was thinking about ways it could be utilised within learning and as my children were developing a character they were also talking about what type of personality he would have, who his friends are and what he likes to eat! They chose a character that they liked and recorded their voice in it. It could be a great tool for literacy tasks through incorporating a little spiel to introduce a character for creative writing or even to portray a character from books that have been read in the classroom. It is a simple tool that could be used for younger cohorts. In order to embed the voki, it was the same as embedding a You Tube so I think once you understand how that works it is the same process for embedding a lot of tools and programs.
